Do you test minors?
Yes. A Parent/Guardian consent form will need to be signed prior to testing minors.
Test Results
How will I get my results?
You will receive notification of your test results via email or text message with the information you entered when you registered in our portal. The email will contain a secure link to log into the portal to retrieve your results report.
Please note, it is very important the information you provide is accurate so we can notify you when your test results are ready.
How long will it take to get my results?
Results can be available in as little as 30 minutes. Same-day results at most are under 24 hours of receiving the specimen.
There is an error on my test results (such as spelling of name, DOB or passport number), how do I correct this?
We will work dilligently to correct any discrepancies. Contact us at 844-368-5227 or email info@millenialabs.us
Do your results contain a QR code?
We will need notification prior to your test if your test results need a QR code. You may include this request in the notes when you schedule your appointment on our online booking system or call us directly.
What will a COVID-19 test tell me?
COVID-19 molecular tests collect and examine genetic material produced by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (viral RNA) to determine current infection.
Test results will confirm whether or not you are infected with COVID-19.
If your results are positive, it is important to contact your healthcare provider immediately, self-isolate, and monitor your symptoms.
Negative results may indicate that you were not infected with or had a high viral load of COVID-19 at the time your sample was collected. However, it is important to note that in some cases there is not enough SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the sample to detect the virus (false negative). This can happen in a certain percentage of cases during different stages of infection. If you have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms, it is important to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and to take protective measures to avoid infecting others. Negative results do not mean that you are not at risk for contracting or spreading COVID-19.
It is important that you discuss your test results with your doctor and follow public health guidance about safety precautions.
Travel
Do you provide valid international travel certificates?
Yes, please contact us prior to your appointment if a travel certificate is needed. You may include this request in the notes when you schedule your appointment in our online booking system or call us directly.
Can a non-resident take the RT PCR test at Millenia Advanced Scientific?
Yes, everyone is eligible for the RT-PCR test given they provide us with the required documents, government-issued ID, and/or passport.
International travel requires full name of passenger, passport number and QR code, do you offer that in the report?
Yes, we do. Many patients use our Covid 19 test results to travel internationally. Testing for travel is not covered by insurance and is a cash/credit-only transaction only.

Can my child be tested for COVID-19?
Yes, Millenia offers testing to patients between the ages of 2 and 17 using pediatric-friendly swabs. All minors must be accompanied to their appointment by a parent or legal guardian.
What is a PCR test?
Real-time PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) is a valuable molecular technique performed in a high complexity laboratory that accurately analyzes the genetic material of pathogens. As a modern molecular biology lab, Millenia Advanced Scientific utilizes PCR to identify and quantify bacteria and viruses as well as determine antibiotic resistance. PCR is 3-5X more sensitive than conventional culture techniques and allows Millenia Advanced Scientific to report results for both pathogen identification and antibiotic resistance within 8 hours of the specimen’s arrival to the lab.
Who can benefit from a PCR test?
Travelers who are required to test prior to their travel.
Anyone who believes that they were exposed to a person infected with COVID-19.
Currently display symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, loss of taste or smell, fatigue, headache sore throat or fever.
Currently have COVID-19 symptoms including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea. other less common symptoms may include tiredness, body or muscle aches, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, and/or runny or stuffy nose. First-line workers healthcare and support persons and educators.
What is the difference between RT-PCR test and an Antigen Test?
RT-PCR test uses Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase (RT)-PCR Diagnostic Panels for detecting the virus and is quite accurate. This test can detect the virus even before you experience symptoms, preventing the further spread of infection.
The rapid antigen test comes in handy only while detecting patients who are quite symptomatic. Though the results can be revealed within 30 minutes, this test is not considered accurate, as it may not read into vital proteins that are part of Coronavirus at the initial stages. Even if your rapid antigen test turns negative, the doctors might recommend you wait for a couple of days, before confirming the presence of infection.
If you happen to notice the symptoms of COVID-19, go for an RT-PCR test for better results.
What is an antigen test?
Antigen tests are immunoassays that detect the presence of a specific viral antigen, which implies current viral infection. Antigen tests for SARS-CoV-2 are generally less sensitive than real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and other nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) for detecting the presence of viral nucleic acid.
What is an RT-PCR Test
The “gold standard” for clinical diagnostic detection of SARS-CoV-2 remains laboratory-based (moderate- and high-complexity) NAATs. RT-PCR-based tests are one type of laboratory-based nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), which continue to be the “gold standard” of diagnostic testing for COVID-19.
Does the PCR test detect “newer” strains of the virus?
Yes. Our Rt-PCR testing equipment is very sensitive and will detect “newer” strains of the virus.
Is your laboratory accredited?
Millenia Advanced Scientific is accredited by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and COLAHealth.
